Phoebe was a quiet kid. She liked quiet activities. She liked ballet class when her mother signed her up because you weren't allowed to talk. Incidentally, she received incredible ballet training and mentorship from Julie Caprio of Ballet Technique, Brannan Osburn, and Susan Jaffe and Risa Kaplowitz of Princeton Dance and Theater Studio. Summer training intensives included Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Joffrey, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, and Princeton Dance and Theater Studio. Over her five years at PDT she performed in numerous ballets, including The Nutcracker (principal role); Raymonda (excerpts); Sleeping Beauty (soloist role); Pop Sonata, an original contemporary ballet by Susan Jaffe; and The Secret Garden (principal role), a ballet by Risa Kaplowitz.

Phoebe received her BFA with Honors in Dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she was taught by instructors such as Gus Solomons Jr., Linda Tarnay, Jackie Vilamill, Cherylyn Lavagnino, Gwen Welliver, Gerald Casel, Kay Cummings, Jolinda Menendez, Giada Ferrone, and Joy Kellman. Her stage experience included several student and faculty works, as well as performance pieces and showings by Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Larry Keigwin, David Dorfman Dance, Ronald K. Brown, Deborah Jowitt, Ellis Wood, Robert Battle, and Gina Gibney Dance.

As a resident of Brooklyn she performs in her own borough, Manhattan, and Queens. She has danced and performed with Anne Zuerner, mishiDance, AMS Project, The Charles Weidman Foundation, This is Not a Theatre Company, Patricia Hoffbauer, Tangerine Dance Collective, Dances for a Variable Population, Alisa Fendley's Fingerprints Projects, and RedCurrant Collective. In 2010, Phoebe was lucky enough to participate in the Trisha Brown Dance Company's fortieth anniversary installation at the Whitney Museum, Off the Wall: Part 2: Seven Works by Trisha Brown, where she performed the iconic performance art piece Floor of the Forest.

Phoebe is a licensed yoga teacher with The Perri Institute for Mind and Body. She received her certification via the MBD® 200 Yoga Pedagogy Course with TaraMarie Perri. Her yoga classes are realistic, alignment-based, and laced with down-to-earth humor. She has taught yoga at Soma Health Club, Gibney Dance Center, Dance New Amsterdam, The YMCA, and Oval Fitness; she has taught ballet and modern dance at Cynthia King Dance Studio, Princeton Dance and Theater Studio, BAX, The Ridgefield School of Dance, The Y, and Spoke the Hub.

In May of 2011, Phoebe was one of a few artists who founded RedCurrant Collective, an organization of creators who do together what they could not do alone. The group seeks creative ways to sustain careers and lead consequential lives as artists. Because of RedCurrant, Phoebe has been able to present work at La Mama, Judson Memorial Church, Gibney Dance Center, and Cameo Gallery.
